Audience Feedback "Improbable Fiction" by Alan Ayckbourn (Oct 2009)
We enjoyed the
production immensely. We had seen another amateur production
last year, and found the second act hard to follow - but not
this time. We thought you all came up with a highly
creditable production. The acting was superb, and the flow
was seamless throughout, despite the many challenging scene
changes in the second half. Well done to everyone concerned.
It was a memorable night in many ways. We visit the area
fairly regularly, and would go out of our way to take in
another show by your group, Ayckbourn or not. Thank you for
a lovely evening.

I haven't seen any Tickety-Boo productions before and was delighted with the performance given of Improbable Fiction. I will be certain to attend further productions.

Yes I
enjoyed it immensely. I had to attend on my own as my wife
was unable to come because of illness, but I soon became
engrossed in the action and forgot about everything else.
The delivery was clear, the scenery/props, continuity and
timing were excellent and one had to remind oneself that the
actors were amateurs, they were brilliant. Thanks again for
an entertaining evening and I hope we will be able to attend
future productions. By the way, the online ticketing system
makes booking extremely easy!
The play was one of the most amusing and
entertaining I have seen in a long while. It was not
only verbally funny but visually too. It made me
laugh out loud with tears in my eyes on a fair few
occasions. Thank you to all the cast and roll on the
next one.

It was brilliant - loved the play. Oh how we laughed and laughed, it was simply fantastic, loved every second! Thanks for the e-mail telling me about it - so glad you did. We both agreed our favourite character had to be the Welsh Teacher. Hope the rest of the run is a success as it really does deserve it! Craig Turner This is the second production my friend and I have been to and we enjoyed them both immensely. All the actors were well cast and gave such a professional performance. We look forward to the next one. Sally Lockwood Many thanks for giving me the opportunity to say how much I enjoyed your production. I found the cast "well-rounded". They handled and maintained their parts and characterisations very well, especially the lead character. If a critique was or had to be given, it would have to be given to the scene changes. The very loud thunder and the lack of flashing tended to interrupt the audience, instead of carrying them through to the next scene. I'm grateful for many years in amateur dramatics and now enjoy the mechanics of any production. Good actors thrive on "Crits", dreaming of the day, they get "critical acclaim" and a good critique was earned by all. Overall it was a well done piece of theatre, that I feel most people enjoyed. Well done, and best wishes for the future. Jack Allen Both my girlfriend and I really enjoyed the show, just like we did the last one which was Bouncers. We had a good night's entertainment on both occasions. We would love you to pass our comments on to your excellent cast. THANK YOU ALL! John Cadman We recently attended the production and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was entertaining, funny and kept us enthralled. We were both very impressed with the amount of dialogue and quick costume changes that the cast were able to do so proficiently and we can't wait for the next production. Keith and Gill Faulkner I would be delighted to feedback on your production. We, my mum and I, were wondering quite what we were to see, we like Alan Ayckbourn productions. As I said to David on the way out we thought it a fabulous evening. The cast were fantastic and costume changes amazing. The set was used really well with so many quite hilarious moments such as the 'flower' microphones, mother joining in at the top of the stairs was great and the whole cast's individual portrayal of their numerous characters. I hope it was a sell out for you. We shall certainly come again if we can, there is nothing quite like live theatre. I wish more people could just have a little taste to see what they are missing! Thank you to all the team for a wonderful evening out, I know that there is a lot of work back stage too. I wish you every success. Linda Brook My two friends and I went to see this play. The first half was a little slow and we thought we were going to be disappointed but the second half was worth the wait. It was hilarious and the team coped really well with all the quick changes. Well worth seeing. Looking forward to the next production. Linda Birdsall Both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the recent production of Improbable Fiction. It was professional, funny and well worth the money. We are looking forward to seeing future shows. Tina & Phil Goodworth What a lovely evening we had on Thursday - the best laugh in ages! We thought the play had been very well cast, and everyone gave such a good performance. We are looking forward to your next production already. Catherine Mawson Improbable Fiction was great fun. Three of us came to see Bouncers, we were seven for Improbable Fiction, could be we will need a coach for your next production! Well done, and look forward to the next masterpiece..... Susan Harris and Friends My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed Improbable Fiction. I am always amazed at the standard of your productions given that you have to do all the rehearsals in your spare time. It was pure enjoyment from start to finish, with a very strong cast and no weak links. Comedy is difficult at the best of times and the production pulled it off perfectly. The play was very well crafted and after a relatively slow start setting the scene, it moved along at a tremendous pace with lots and lots of genuinely funny bits. The staging was good, the acting was good, value for money - an unbeatable night out! We look forward to the next one. Paul Gossedge
